Because of its acidic nature and poorly developed <br />soil profile, less than 58 of the Cash mine dump has any vege- <br />tation. On the steeper portions of the mine dump, this vege- <br />tation consists of a few small stands of Ponderosa pine on the <br />eastern and southern faces of the dump.
