Ponderosa Pine (Pinus ponderosa var, scopulorum)
Description: A large evergreen with a broad, open, coni-
cal crown of spreading branches.

Habitat: Mountainous areas in pure stands and mixed
coniferous forests.

foliage and a dense, narrow, conical crown
of short branches spreading in close rows.
