(Linke), I
will respond to your November 3, 2004 adequacy letter in the order
and number format presented in that document. I have responded to
Mr. Sorenson's Geotechnical Stability Exhibit review and apologize
for taking so long but have been waiting for our expert to return
from an overseas trip.
1. Attached is a copy of the Proof of Publication for this
operation. Also, attached are copies of the return receipt
cards for adjoining owners and easement holders of record.
Rule 6.4.4 Exhibit D Mining Plan
2. At this time we propose installing a small shop of approxi-
mately 50'x50' with a dirt floor. We anticipate using a pole
building structure also referred to a "Butler Building" it is
a kit type building.
3. The road will be 30 feet wide and approximately 625 feet long.
Instead of showing it on the revised Mining Plan Map, i used
a excerpt from the Pre-Mining Map to create Adequacy Exhibit
#1. If I put it on the Mining Plan Map it would not show on
the hill side. This road will be removed as mining lowers the
hillside to a point where the mine floor reaches the road
level. This will allow access to the mine floor directly from
the County Road.
4. Linke will commit to placing a 6-mil vapor barrier liner under
the fuel storage area and up the sides of the containment berm
sufficient to contain any spill or leak that may occur. This
liner will be covered with absorbent material to protect it
and absorb minor spills in the containment berm.
