• Energy Fuels Coal, Inc. Southfield Mine 1987 Exploration and Development Drilling Project Introduction Energy Fuels Coal, Inc., ('EFCI') plans~to initiate a coal ex- ploration drilling and coring project during the summer of 1987 to gather additional geologic data necessary for underground mine expansion and mine planning and projection work at the Southfield Mine located in Fremont County, Colorado. One drill hole will be cased and grouted for the future installation of a borehole rock dust supply system. All drilling activities covered by this request will be conducted within the boundaries of Colorado Mining and Reclamation Permit No. C-81-014. The surface and mineral rights within the proposed exploration area are privately held. Location and Number of Drill Sites The locations of the proposed drill holes are shown on the at- tached Exhibit lA, 1987 Drill Site Location Map. Please note that those sites shown outside the permit boundary are not subject to this request as noted. There are a total of three holes, numbered as B-1, CC-54A, and R-1. One core hole is planned at each site. • The borehole site (R-1) will consist of a cased and grouted hole into the present mine workings.
