<br />SECTION VI <br />F - FORESTRY DISTRICT <br />(AREAS ESTABLISHED FOR THE PURPOSE OF EFFICIENTLY <br />USING LAND TO CONSERVE FOREST RESOURCES, PROTE'.CT <br />THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT AND PRESERVE OPEN SPAt:E) <br />(as amended November 20, 1978) <br />6.1 <br />6.2 <br />USES PERMITTED <br />(1) One-family dwellings; <br />(2) Seasonal cabins; (as amended March 2, 1972) <br />( 3) Grazing of livestock and horses, provided offensive odors and dust <br />are confined to the premises; <br />(4) Oil and natural gas drilling and subsurface mining (except that the <br />mining of uranium shall be subject to review as set forth in Sections <br />XV and XXIV of this resolution entitled Use By Special Re~~iew/ <br />Special Permit) provided offensive odors, noise, fluids, anti dust <br />are confined to the premises; (as amended November 20, 1978) <br />(5) Schools for elementary and high school education; <br />(6) Parks, playgrounds and playfields for daytime use; <br />(7} Riding academies provided all such uses are located at leas: 660 feet <br />from schools, churches and dwellings on other lots; <br />(8) Churches; <br />(9) Public utility mains, lines and underground facilities; and <br />(10) Acessory buildings and uses. <br />DEVELOPMENT CRITERIA (as established March 2, 1972} <br />The following information shall be provided at the initial submission of a <br />planned unit development or a subdivision in the F-Forestry Zone. <br />(1) The County Planning Commission and County Commissioners shall <br />review the uses of land on the basis of environmental influences <br />related to the intent and purposes of this Resolution in order for the <br />uses to be in harmony with the character of the surroundin~3 neigh- <br />borhood and to promote the health, safety and welfare of Boulder <br />County. <br />(2) The County Planning Commission and County Commissioners shall <br />consider evidence submitted by the applicant, the Planning :itaff, <br />interested citizens, and other appropriate agencies in arriving at <br />their decisions. Their decisions shall be based on but not confined <br />to the following considerations: <br />(a) that the proposed use will not result in an over-intensive use <br />of the land; <br />(b) that the proposed use will not result in undue traffic ~:ongestion <br />or traffic hazards; <br /> <br />
