EkIIIBIT E
' RECLAMATION PLAN
SOARING EAGLE GRAVEL PIT
The area to be mined will be reclaimed in phases as the mining progresses. Alter a phase has been
completed, the final perimeter slopes will be flattened to 3 horizontal to 1 vertical. Topsoil will be
spread on the slopes to a depth of 6 to S inches to the assumed water level elevation. "Those areas
which adjoin another mining phase will be sloped at 1.5 to 1 and benned for safety.
' Approximately 1 G acres of wetlands will be constructed around portions of the pcrinreter of the pit
as mitigation for those lost during the mirung operation. See Exhibit F for the location of the
wetlands reconstruction.
Per our agreement with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, "Texas Crossing" type inlets acrd
outlets will be constructed to allow the ever to flow into and out of the resultine lake dt~rine
' ordinary high water. It is assumed that over time the lake will silt in creating habitat for endaugcred
fish and also eliminate potential habitat for nonnative fish.
Piual slopes and disturbed areas around the pond will be seeded with the attached mixture as
recommended by the h1RCS for wetland/riparian areas. Cut and fill slopes along the haul road will
' be seeded using fire desen ntix. All seed application will be broadcast. A grass hay mulch will be
applied at the rate of 4000 lbs./acre.
' After the area has been completely mined out, the pit will be left as a lake with a surface area of
approximately 102 acres.
' The final reclamation of the site will be completed within two years after mining has been
completed.
' The post mining land use will be private recreation and wildlife habitat.
htcltuled in this Exhibit are wetlands mitigation drawings and details submitted with the 404 Permit
' Application.

1

1
