1
1
' Exhibit C S~
' Mining Plan
' Access
A short driveway (i.e., approximately 30 feet) connects Tiger Road with
the dredge piles crossing the Swan River with three, 36-inch CMP's. The
driveway is the only portion of the permit area not totally occupied by placer
dredge tailing. Mining will be confined to existing areas previously disturbed by
' dredging.
' Thickness of the Deposit
The dredge tailing piles ve in height from 10 to 20 feet (or more) above
' the water table throughout the permit area.
Mining Plan
The mining plan is simply to remove the dredge tailing from the surtace of
' the ground. Mining will not extend to the water table. Mining will be limited to
within 2 feet of the water table. No activities will take place in the river or
adjacent wetlands.
' Some material has already been removed from the site and used for
' personal use at construction projects owned by sister companies and LLC's as
described in a letter to Mr. Bruce Humphries dated May 15, 1998. The objective
of obtaining this permit is to allow the retail sale of aggregate materials to the
' general public.
' Facilities
The area from which materials have already been harvested (shown as
' the Job Site on Exhibit E) serves as an excellent staging area from which to
begin mining. A caretaker will live at the site in a trailer to care for the
equipment, Such use is permitted by Summit County Zoning Regulations.
Equipment stored at the site will be trucks, loaders, screening plant and
other associated tools required for harvesting the tailing. Stockpiles of various
' materials is also expected to be necessary.
' 6
