Proof of Publication Pursuant to Rule 1.6.2(1)(8), please submit proof of <br />publication for the newspaper notice required by Rule 1.6.2(111d). <br />3. Permanent Human-Made Structures In accordance with Rule 6.3.1121, 6.3.2(b), <br />6.3.3(1)(8), 6.3.512)(e) and (f), the application appropriately identifies that the <br />permanent human-made structures located within proposed affected lands and lands <br />within 200' of the proposed permit boundary, are limited to the existing access <br />road, steel grate closures on the portals, and pre-law mining related structures. The <br />application indicates that the applicant intends to enlarge the existing 2' x 2' entry <br />gate for the existing steel grate closure at the main portal. <br />Pursuant to Rule 6.3.12, please submit either the notarized damage compensation <br />agreement, or appropriate engineering evaluation that demonstrates that such <br />structure shall not be damaged by activities occurring at the mining operation, for <br />the existing steel grate closure for the main portal which will be modified by mining <br />operations. <br />4. Revegetation The reclamation plan indicates that affected lands will be <br />reclaimed to support rangeland post mining land use and states that vegetative <br />cover will be replaced. However, the reclamation plan does not specify how <br />revegetation will occur. Pursuant to Rule 6.3.4(1-(cl, please specify how <br />revegetation will occur, as required under Rule 6.3.411)(c)(i-, (ii), (iii), (iv), and Iv) <br />Staff recommend that the operator consider the following seed mix, to be <br />broadcast spread and hand raked, no application of fertilizer or mulch: <br />Mountain brome at 4.00 Ibs, PLS/acre; <br />Arizona fescue at 1.20 Ibs, PLS/acre; <br />Western wheatgrass at 4.00 Ibs, PLS/acre; <br />Sainfoin at 2.00 Ibs, PLS/acre; <br />Lewis blue flax at 0.50 Ibs, PLS/acre; <br />Rocky Mountain Penstemon at 0.50 Ibs, PLS/acre; and <br />Rubber Rabbitbrush at 0.25 Ibs, PLS/acre. <br />5. Financial Warranty DMG has completed a preliminary estimation of the cost of <br />reclamation at 51,919. Please find attached, ten (10) pages of summaries, <br />worksheets and data sheets, utilized by DMG to estimate the cost of reclamation. <br />DMG reclamation cost estimation is based upon information submitted in the <br />application, upon observations made during the 10/4/99 inspection, and upon staff <br />
