My husband and I are also land
owners at Red Creek Ranch. Apart from that I believe it is
critical that we preserve the natural treasures and beauty of
Colorado. It 1s the responsibility of all us to do so.
We understand the legalities of this situation-mineral rights reign
over common sense, decency, and stewardship of the land.
We are begging for a rational approach to this situation-one which
compromises between economic and legal realities and prudent
stewardship of God given natural resources.
These Canyons are natural wetlands, spring fed-with deep pools and
year round pools. The beauty alone is worth preserving. We are
i, concerned about the impact on the watershed and the flora and
fauna.
In addition, there are petroglyphs in these canyons. They are
worthy of preservation.
We are concerned about the blasting and how this will be regulated,
monitored, contained, and made safe.. This area is becoming
increasingly populated-where before there were no ~uman
inhabitants-now there 1s residential traffic, including s hool
buses.
We are concerned about the level of truck traffic, the dust the
noise, and the impact on road conditions. When limits are set who
will monitor compliance?
Please take our concerns into account. we all.will appreciate it.
Sincerely,
Dr. Donna J. Hinders
Doctor of Chiropractic
~ and
Roy L. Hipp
