Page 2
Exhibit C - Nicolas Brothers
Item 6 - The entire area within the pit limits shown on Exhibit
E - Map will be disturbed by the operation. The total
approximate area is 3.5 acres.
Item 7 - The primary access to the pit site is via County Road
#864. It is a twenty (20') foot road with a granite
surface. No additional work will be required on this
road. This road is maintained in the summer, but is
not plowed in the winter. Other roads per Item 5 will
be constructed to minimum standards, and removed when
the pit is reclaimed.
Item 8 - The operation of this pit should not require any water.
If dust abatement is required on County Road #864
during haul cycles the water can be trucked to the site
and/or the road can be treated with magnesium chloride.
Item 9 - It is anticipated that free ground water will not be
encountered.
Item 10 - Not Applicable
Item 11 - Not Applicable
Item 12 - The operation of the proposed pit will not change or
adversely affect any existing drainage course. The
proposed pit slopes will be flatter than the existing
slope on the westerly boundary (currently barren). The
pit floor will slope gently to the west contouring
erosion.
Item 13 - The excavated material will be processed on site into
road construction and maintenance materials. This
processing will include crushing, screening, and
asphalt mixing. Conventional portable crushing and
screening plants will be used to process the material
into roadbase and paving products. A portable asphalt
plant may be set on the site to mix paving materials.
No permanent crushing or paving plant is anticipated.
