The following man made structures were noted in aerial photographs, please determine <br />if any of these structures are within 200 feet of the affected land (Rule 6.3.12), and if so <br />provide the required information. <br />a. Irrigation ditch <br />b. Access roads on west and north side of mine <br />c. Facilities and structures associated with the Idaho Creek Resources mine <br />d. A stock pond on the northeast corner of the proposed mine site. <br />The December 6, 20061etter from Scott, Cox, & Associates provides a best <br />professional judgment analysis and recommendation for avoiding damage to the <br />nearby structures. However Rule 6.3.12 states that Applicant shall provide an <br />appropriate engineering evaluation that demonstrates that such structure shall not be <br />damaged by activities occurring at the mining operation. This is generally <br />accomplished through a structural stability analysis. Please provide an analysis that <br />meets the requirements of Rule 6.3.12(b). <br />Please note that the above referenced letter only addressed the private road along the <br />north boundary of the site, but did not address the oil well, the associated pipeline, <br />and the Godding Ditch. These three structures are within 200 feet of the affected <br />lands and need to be addressed pursuant to section 6.3.12. <br />Received Comments <br />L The OSE has submitted comments pertaining to exposure of groundwater, please <br />review attached copy and provide any comments is warranted. The Applicant's <br />response is adequate as submitted. <br />2. Other comments received by the Division to date. The Applicant's response is <br />adequate as submitted. <br />
