h]ining Techniques <br />• Limited mining will be conducted in buffer areas designated by BLM in Lease <br />#C-37210. 'Ifiese areas are below the Steven's (filch alluvium and will also <br />protect the Steven's Gulch load in this area. Only developnent entries will <br />be mined. See Msp 2-5. In areas between 600 and 800 ft. of overburden, the <br />road will be undermined using developnent only and no pillar recovery. Cal- <br />culations show that this limited extraction will maintain the surface areas <br />with no subsidence. See Pillar Stability l~port, Volume 2. In areas of <br />greater than 800 ft. of overburden, conventional rornrand-pillar technique <br />with pillar extraction will be conducted. <br />Repair Procedure <br />1. Place traffic warning signs and barricades and notify Delta Oaunty <br />and U. S. Forest Service of hazard. <br />2. l~grade road surface, filling crack, as necessary. <br />3. Haul and place additional gravel, if necessary. <br />4.
