• iv) firing of charged holes when weather conditions indicate the <br />existence of a safety hazard is imminent. <br />4) The general mine areas are identified by signs on all access roads <br />restricting entry to authorized personnel. Signs identifying the area <br />as a blasting area also describe the warning and all-clear signals. Each <br />specific blasting area is identified as such and all charged holes are <br />guarded and posted against unauthorized entry. Prior to a blast, access <br />to the immediate area of a blasting site is cleared and controlled by <br />qualified mine personnel. <br />5) A modulated siren will be sounded approximately 3 minutes before the <br />blast.
