MINING PLAN EXHIBIT C
we will use the upper 25 feet of material. when mining ends the
floor will be leveled and reseeded using the seedmix shown in the
vegetation information on page 5 .
We expect to remove the upper 25 feet of the deposit. This
site has three layers of material. The upper layer is 8 to 12
inches of topsoil; the second layer is a 24 to 45 inch thick
layer of whitish clay suitable for pond lining material and the
last is a deep deposit of silty gravely sand that is usable for
dressing roads and as structural fill. o.,z
As noted in the soils and vegetation section there 1-9,_8 to
12 inches of very sandy topsoil on the site. When encountered it
will be stripped and stockpiled around the perimeter of on the
floor of the site for use in reclamation. If the soil stockpiles
remain undisturbed for more than one growing season a cover crop✓
of Western Wheatgrass will be planted at a rate of 3 .0 pls/200
Ft2.
The entrance to this site will be from an existing road used
for internal access between the irrigated fieldy This road is
our primary access to this field and it will remain when mining
is complete. The northern part of this road is not included in
the permit because it is an existing road that will remain when
reclamation is complete. Periodic grading will be necessary to
keep the road in its present condition and to make it passable.
On-site equipment may include, but is not limited toe a
motor grader, front-end loaders, motor scrapers, a dozer, convey-
ors, a screening plant, dump trucks and a water truck. Final
processing may be done offsite depending on the need at a partic-
ular project site.
Little or no water will be used at the site. This material
is very sandy and we do not plan to wash it. If dust control
water is use it will be obtained from sources we have available
and approved for that use.
9
