Banks and Gesso, LLC
Exhibit E -Reclamation Plan
Also refer to Exhibit F: Reclamation Plan Map
This site will be reclaimed to 2 reservoirs (Surcharge Reservoir and Raindance
Reservoir #1) sealed with clay liners. The remainder of the affected property shall be
graded and revegetated as shown in Exhibit F and described below. The main areas to
be topsoiled are the cut slopes from the existing grade to the crest of the reservoirs. It is
anticipated that all topsoil stockpiled shall be used on the project for reclamation and
revegetation of cut and fill slopes along the reservoir or haul road. Some additional
overburden material may be sold or moved off site.
Topsoil Segreoation, Preservation and Replacement
Topsoil will be initially stripped from both Mines and placed on the north side of East
Mine. Topsoil that is expected to remain stockpiled for more than one growing season
will be seeded with a long season (>120 day) or sterile sorghum, or other approved
cover grass.
Regrading and Shaping
Reservoir banks and haul road will be graded as shown in Exhibit F
Revegetation and Mulching
Revegetation of the following seed mix will be performed via drill seeding, with a drill
spacing on 6-12" and a planting depth of/z". Grass drill should have double disk furrow
openers with seed tubes between the openers, picker wheels, seedbox agitators, depth
bands, and press wheels.
Fertilizer may be applied at the time of seeding, if necessary as indicated by soil tests. If
fertilizer is required, phosphorus will be applied before seeding, and nitrogen will be
applied after the stand is established. Mulch such as grass hay or cereal grain straw will
also be applied to the reseeded area at the rate of 2,000 pounds of mulch per acre, to
provide 70 percent ground cover.
Raindance Sand and Gravel Mine March 18, 2004
Hilltop Aquatic Investments, LLC ] 2 04001
