FOR A REGULAR (112) OPERATION
NOTICE TO THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
OF THE LOCAL SOIL CONSERVATION DISTRICT
EL PASO COUNTY
Fountain Colony investment Company has requested the Mined Land Reclamation Board ("the
Board") reaffirm their previous approval for an application to conduct mining operations
located in EI Paso County and the City of Fountain. The attached information is being
provided to notify you of the nature of the request to the Board. A copy of this request letter is
also available at the county clerk and recorder office.
The application was originally approved on January 21, 1988 and proposes to reclaim the land
for industrial/residential uses. Pursuant to C.R.S. 34-32-116(7)(j) the Board is required to
confer with the local Board of Supervisors of the local Soil Conservation District before
approving of the post-mining land use. Accordingly, the Board would appreciate your
comments on the proposed operation. Please note that, in order to preserve your right to a
hearing before the Board on this request, you must submit written comments on the request
within twenty (20) days of the date of last publication of notice pursuant to C.R.S.
34-32-112(10).
