Long <br />Marvin Moore Division Dveclor <br />1570 Ranney Street <br />Craig, Colorado 8162 <br />RE: Moffat County Road Department; File No. M-99-048 <br />Little Snake Pit #26; Adequacy Review <br />Dear Mr. Moore, <br />Listed below are adequacy review comments on the Little Snake Pit #26 New 1 12-Application. <br />file number M-99-048. The Division of Minerals and Geology (Division) is required to make an <br />approval or denial decision no later than July 20, 1999, therefore, your response to the following <br />adequacy review concerns should be submitted to the Division as soon as possible. <br />As required by Rule 1.6.5 (2), please submit the proof of publication of the public notice <br />circulated in the local newspaper, in the form of an affidavit of publication. <br />Please be advised [hat you may need a Stormwater Permit from the Colorado Department of <br />Public Health and Environment, Water Quality Control Division. If any storm water control <br />structures are required to be constructed at the mine site as a result of the storm water <br />permitting process, the operation and reclamation aspects of such structures must be included <br />in the Reclamation Permit. You should contact the Colorado Department of Public Health <br />and Environment to determine if a storm water permit is needed. <br />3. Please describe the expected time(s) of seeding and planting for the Little Snake Pit #26. <br />4. The applicant states that Moffat County Road #26 will be mined and eventually replaced in <br />its original right of way. A temporary road will be established while the mining and <br />reclamation activities occur. In the BLM Special Stipulations Document, the applicant is <br />required to return Moffat County Road #26 to its approximate pre-disturbance location. The <br />Division believes that the construction and reclamation of the temporary road and <br />replacement of the original road, falls within the definition of "affected land," and must be <br />COLORADO <br />
