Our comments are presented below for the
County's consideration:
o Since this is a mining operation, the applicant
will be required to submit a Fugitive Particulate
Air Pollutant Emission Notice/Control Plan to the
Colorado Department oP health Air Pollution Control
Division.
o Because of the location of the proposed operation,
it does not appear that noise will be an issue.
However if this is incorrect, we could assist the
County ~n evaluating potential noise impacts.
o Will the sedimentation pond discharge to Plum
Creek? If so, its outlet should be designed to
minimize water duality impacts to the creek. If
not, how big will the pond be? How will drainage
be handled during Phase 4 to limit impacts to the
creek?
o Ts the 20 foot setback from the creek in Phase 4
adequate?
If you have any question concerning our comments, please
contact me.
' S~ - L ly~~
' Rick Rinshella, P.E.
Public Health Engineer
xc: David E.
