To: conduct the open pit mining of limestone and related support activities.. <br />2. On the following-described tract of land: see attached legal description (Exhibit <br />A), generally known as the Monarch Quarry. <br />3. For the following period: From the date of approval (signing) of this special use <br />permit until the year 2050 <br />4. In accordance with the plans and/or specifications approved by the Board of <br />County Commissioners as submitted with the application. <br />5. On the condition that the Applicant proceeds in conformity with all applicable <br />federal and state statutes and regulations as well as all applicable local land use <br />controls <br />6. Special Conditions. <br />a. The area within which mining operations may occur <br />(including on-site storage) is limited to: the <br />properties description (Exhibit A). Any expansion of <br />such operations beyond that area without an <br />amendment to this Permit shall cause immediate <br />revocation of this Permit. <br />b. This permit will include the potential expansion up to 50 onsite <br />employees. US. Limestone (the pemtittee) will review the impact <br />additional employment on public services with in Chaffee County <br />c. Primary truck routing from the Monarch Quart' to the Calco. Plant east of <br />Salida will be limited to US Hwy.. 50, Hwy. 285, Hwy. 291 and County <br />Road 175 in order to minimize the impact on county roads and traffic on <br />downtown Salida streets and Hwy. 291 through Salida.
