FILE DATE: Gtii>2i1?97•ILE TIME: 02:45 • F't=16E #: Vu~!1 OF ~t~1i!e <br />CHAFFEE COUNT'f , f1AF.'"~' ELLEIJ BELMAR - CLERF; ": RECORDE REC # : 298722 *' <br />CHAFFEE COUNTY, COLORIKOO <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONEr~S <br />RESOLUTION 1>iild•6~ <br />FINDINGS AND RESOLUTION <br />GRANTING A PERMIT TO ENGAGE IN DEVELOPMENT <br />IN A MINERAL RESOURCE AREA <br />COUNTY OF CHAFFEE, COLORADO <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Chaffee County Board of County Commissioners: <br />Pursuant to Supplement No. Z of the Chaffee County Zoning Regulations, heretofore <br />adopted by the Board of County Commissioners, the County has received an application from <br />COLORADO LIME COMPANY (hereinafter "Applicant") for a permit to engage in development <br />(limestone mining) in a mineral resource area. <br />FINDINGS <br />The Board of Commissioners makes the following findings <br />This application was filed by: <br />Colorado Lime Company (formerly CCCLC Corporation) <br />12221 Merit Drive, Suite 500 <br />Dallas, Texas 75251 <br />Phone: (214) 991-8400 <br />Legal and tavman's description of site ("Subject Prooertv") <br />Legal boundaries of the property are outlined in pink marker on the maps provided in <br />inserts A and 6 to the Application. The site is a limestone quarry which has been <br />operated for over sixty years, known locally as the Monarch Quarry. <br />3. Ownershio of surface rights <br />Colorado Lime Company owns the surface rights associated with the Subject Property. <br />Ownershio of mineral riohts affected <br />Colorado Lime Company owns the mineral rights associated with the Subject Property. <br />5. Tvoe and location of mineral reserves <br />The resource is limestone. The Application, at insert A, B, and D showed the limestone <br />deposit on the Subject Property. <br />6. Analysis of the feasibility of extracting the mineral <br />The commercial feasibility of the quarry on the Subject Property is a function of a high <br />quality mineral resource at an existing mining site combined with an expanding and <br />increasingly diverse market for limestone materials to be produced form the quarry. The <br />quarry is to be developed on the site of the existing Monarch Quarry which was operated <br />by CF81 Steel Corporation for over 60 years. <br />GED~48989tt 65968.1 <br />
