Berm Design
The post-mining berm for the East Loadout Area was
designed using Manning's Equation for open Channel Flow
and the results are summarized on the East Loadout Area
Pond L1 and Drainage Structure Design Map, (Map 26).
The berm is designed to provide a minimum freeboard of
0.3 feet.
