The post-mining berm shown on the Loadout Area Surface and
Groundwater Hydrology Map, (Map 13), is designed to route runoff
and sediment to Sedimentation Pond L1. The l0-year, 24-hour
event was used as the design storm to size the post-mining berm.
The maximum flow rate for this event is 8.50 cubic feet per
second. A typical section of the Post-Mining berm is shown on
the East Loadout Area Pond L1 and Drainage Structure Design Map,
(Map 26), along with a summary table listing all design details
for the berm. The berm is designed as a triangular channel with
6H:1V and 3H:1V sideslopes. The post-mining berm ditch conforms
to the existing slopes at the loadout site.
Hydrology
Hydrology Inputs
All hydrology inputs for the post-mining berm are
shown on Table 23a SEDCAD+ Version 3.0, Pond L1
and post-mining berm.
•
•
`"`°""-'" 173 Revised - June 1997
°6/30/Vl OJ: f°.~ Yap
