Greeley, Colorado Siebring Reservoir
SLURRY WALL LINED GRAVEL PIT RESERVOIR
The Siebring Reservoir was the first gravel pit
reservoir in the State of Colorado to be lined
with a slurry wall. The project was designed by
RMC in 1990 and constructed by Hall-Irvin
Construction in 1991.
When mining is completed in approximately
1988, the total storage will be 1,100 acre-feet.
The storage rights were purchased by Central
Colorado Water Conservancy District (Contact:
Tom Cech at 303-825-0474).
The site is located along the Cache la Poudre
River just west of Greeley, Colorado. The slurry
wall has a total length of 10,000 feet. The slurry
wall was constructed while mining of gravel was
on~oring. After completion of the wall,
dewatering requirements ceased.
HALL-IRWIN CONSTRUCTION /ROCKY MOUNTAIN CONSULTANTS, INC.
