the Reuse Pile Access Road was restrfaced io aaordaaa with our previous recommendations outliocd in a
report prepazed under our job cumber 95-2431 and da[ed March 20, 1996. The con[raUOr had resurfaced
approximately lfiflp {meal feet of rtxtdway hrtwrrn thr. nxitring haul road :tnd the rcfise pile.
• During the period of April 4, 1996 through May 8, 1996 periodic inspections of the attest road were made to
verify that the new subbase cad road baze gravels were plead cad wmpac[ed to at least 95%a of the modified
Proctor density determined is auordaaa with ASTM D1S57. We also verified that ttte coatraaor had placed
the required amount of subbase and base mane gravck. The subbase cad road bate gravels were placed to
minimum thickness' of 16 cad 4 inches, respectively. Placement depths were verified duria({ the periodic site
inspections. tt also appears that the roadway surface was constructed with a suitable crown and a width of ""<0
Feet. Copies of our daily inspection reports, including the compaction test results are enclosed
