Mussel has a deep loam to sandy loam profile while <br /> Brownsto is very gravelly and sandy. These soils are calcareous <br /> throughout . PH range is 7 . 8 to 8 . 4 for both soils . Mussel tends to <br /> occur under grass vegetation . The very gravelly Brownsto occurs under <br /> rather dense stands of Pinion pine . Most farmed areas are Mussel <br /> sandyloam , which is easily worked and has moderate water holding capa - <br /> city.
