water continuing northwesterly into this channel and not allow
the water to flaw westward towards the Ponderosa Tree boundary
and County Road 23, where it has gone previously during high
flows. As shown on Exhibit E - Reclamation Plan Map, riprap
will be placed along the northwest excavation boundary to help
direct the water into the desired channel.
Exhibit D_ - Reclamation Plan
1. At the completion of Phase II excavation, the temporary
diversion will be removed and the cut in the existing berm will
be repaired. This will allow the river to flow in
approximately the same location that it does now. The river
will rejoin the northwesterly channel near the northwest corner
of the property as shown on Erhibit E - Reclamation Plan Map.
2. Very little vegetation is present in the areas of the
proposed excavations, but a few cottonwood shrubs will be
removed during the operation. As discussed in Item 4 below,
twenty-four b'-10' cottonwood trees will be planted as part of
the reclamation process, in the approximate locations shown
on Er.hibit E - Reclamation Plan Map.
3. As discussed in Item 1 above, the temporary diversion,
which was constructed to divert the Uncompahgre River into the
Phase I excavated area during Fhase II, will be removed at the
completion of Fhase II. The cut in the existing berm will be
repaired and the existing berm will remain in place. Please
refer to Er.hibit E - Reclamation Plan Map.
4. The mar.imum surface disturbance will have occurred at
the time when Fhase II excavation has been completed. Phase I
riprap and the side slopes of the Phase I area wilt have been
reclaimed prior to the start of Phase II. The wire/rail
structure on the south boundary will also have been constructed
prior t^ Phase II. Phase II reclamation items include:
Side Slope Grading/Culvert Removal
8 hrs @ b65/hr ----------------------------- ~ 520
Riprap - 450 cu.yd. @ #5/yd --------------------- X2250
Wire/Rail Structure:
i
!~
i
25 - lSft (85#) Rail = 5.3 tans @ #160/ton - $ 848
10 - 4'x50' Fencing @ X84.50/each -------- -- # 845
Backhoe - 16 hrs @ $35/hr ---------------- -- ~ 560
Labor - 3 men, 24 hrs @ $15/hr ----------- -- X1080
Cottonwoods - 24, 6'-10' trees @ $30/each ----- -- $ 720
Labor - 2 men, 24 hrs @ $15/hr ----------- -- ~ 720
X7543
Exhibit E - Maps
1.
