These cost estimates include reclamation of ponds, ditches, roads, and fill azeas for the Jeff
Canyon Surface mine operations and associated infrastructure.
As shown by Figure 3.02.2-i(schedule) and Figure 3.02.2-2 (plan), LCC has developed a worst
case reclamation bond model based on the following assumptions:
• Working area in Year 1 operation plan includes a working face down to the
lowest seam for the full width of the ridge.
• No concurrent reclamation has occurred behind the advantage face according to
LCC's proposed plan.
• Sedimentation Ponds 006a, 007a, 008, 009, and 009a have been constructed.
They will not be reclaimed (at the request of the landowner).
• Fill 9 has been completed and topsoiled, Fill 7is being topsoiled, and Fill 8 is
being used.
• Topsoil distribution is 50% C3F (21 inches), 30% PJF (Oinches), and 20% PJE
(18 inches), for an average of 11 inches.
• Final contours will be comparable to pre-mine contours.
