..' . . <br />State Engineer <br />October 3 <br />Page 2 <br />Since Agile Stone Systems proposes to use 30,000 gallons of water daily, <br />we are concerned about the ground water levels in this area and how the <br />combination of their water use and blasting will affect our water well. It is <br />interesting to note that we have an artesian well (originally an oil well) that was <br />drilled 100 years ago and has had running water all those years. Is it a <br />coincidence that this well dried up completely about the same time that Agile <br />Stone Systems did their "test blasting"?!! I believe there is a connection. <br />I am asking that your Board get involved in this situation. Because the <br />proposed mine site is in a flood plain, pollution from railroad residue and their <br />rock quarry operations may contaminate both Tallahassee Creek and the <br />Arkansas River. <br />Maybe you can also assure my neighbors and I that Agile's operation will <br />not affect our valuable water supply.
