State Reg. <br />• Wadge Impoundment (l~002) <br />The Wadge Impoundment was established in 1976, and has a maximum <br />capacity of 303.6 acre-feet at elevation 6612. The existing plan view and cross-sections <br />of the impoundment are on Exhibit 7-8 and 7-9. <br />Seneca Coals, Ltd. has concluded that the Wadge Impoundment is of suf- <br />ficient length and cross-sectional area to obtain the necessary detention <br />time required To meet the limitations of state and federal regulations for <br />mine runoff water discharge; therefore, Seneca Coals, Ltd. requests the <br />Wadge Impoundment be accepted as it currently exists without modifica- <br />tion except the addition of one 48 inch diameter, CMP, culvert in addition <br />to the existing 30-inch diameter, CMP, culvert at the discharge end of the <br />Wadge Impoundment under the haul road to handle the 10 year-24 hour and <br />25 year-24 hour precipitation event (Culvert No. 9a and 9b). <br />,~ <br />7-6-2-2 Revised 5/27/81 <br />
