Attachment 7-6-2 Sediment Ponds
The following presents the work sheets used to design the following sedi-
mentation ponds:
Wadge Impoundment (>~002)
Northwest Impoundment (~/003)
South Section 12 Pond (4004)

The following general procedures were used to design each pond:
I. The peak discharges were calculated using the S.C.S.
method or the HYMO Model where applicable.
2. The sediment storage was calculated using the
Universal Soil Loss Equation.
3. The spillways were designed using applicable procedures
as outlined in the reference "Haan and Barfield" or as
quoted in the text.
