2.05.33
5. A discussion of the method and manner in which the
blasting is to be carried out is found in section VII 7.7.
A discussion including a typical drill pattern is given
in section 5.3.2.6 pages V-13 and page V-15,16.
The applicant as shown in figure V-I will be using AN-FO
or anhydrous ammonia nitrate which is classed as a blasting agent.
The ANFO will be detonated by the use of a one pound (1 lb)
cast primer which in time will be detonated with primer cord.
As can readily be seen in figure V-I the applicant will
be drilling an approximate 6" diameter hole on a 15' x 15' spacing
to an average depth of forty feet (40').
The lower 1/3 of the hole will be filled with ANFO

(approximately 150 lbs) with a 1 pound cast primer in the bottom
of the hole attached to the primer cord which runs to the surface.
A typical shot as shown will consists of 16 holes prepared similarly
giving an approximate shot size of 24000 lbs of ANFO.
In all situations the applicant will perform its blasting
operations in accordance with Section 4.08.4 of the regulations.

~-~I A
