i <br />2.04.7 (1) (b) I <br />and discharge characteristics of aquifers. <br />Refer to the General Description of Hydrology and Geology, Section. <br />2.04.5, and Section 2.04.7(1)(a). <br />(2) Surface tVater Information. <br />(a)(b) Surface water information including the name of the watershed, <br />the location of all surface water bodies. <br />The name of the watershed which receives the water discharge from <br />the permit area is the Tongue Creek Watershed. <br />Surface water bodies in or adjacent to the permit area are the Ward <br />creek to the northeast, Carbon Ditch (an agricultural irrigation <br />system) to the southeast, Williams Creek, Cottonwood Creek, Rowell <br />Draw, and various stockponds. Refer to the Surface Drainage Pattern <br />Map, 2.04.7(2)(a)(b)-1, for the locations of these drainage systems <br />and stockponds. Table 2.04.7(2)(a)(b)-1 is information provided by <br />the Colorado State Government, Irrigation Division No.4 on flow rates <br />of the above named creeks. Due to the numerous irrigation diversions <br />on the creeks, the flow rates on Table 2.04.7(2)(a)(h)-1 are repre- <br />sentative for the area indicated on the Surface Drainage Pattern Map, <br />2.04.7(2)(a)(b)-1. Ditch diversions for Ward Creek and Williams Creek <br />are shown on Drawing 2.04.5-1. <br />Grand Mesa Coal Company is currently <br />settle solids firom water pumped from <br />runoff of precipati.on events.
