Each of you who know that there are time constraints so get <br />your point across, we'll give you the time to do it, and that's just about <br />where we are. And you've got to understand that or otherwise the gavel is <br />going to fall and when you start to repeat --I--. We had a delightful time in <br />Alamosa, we all did, and we don't want to repeat and you know, it was a good <br />time but let's get something done now. Let's see what we can get done this <br />time. Okdy? Staff? Steve? Fred? Whoever. <br />MR. BANTA: Actually, I would like to begin and give some overview on <br />this. <br />MR. JOHNSON: I just want to point out that, Fred, you were sworn at the <br />last hearing; is that right? <br />MR. BANTA: Oh, yes, I was. <br />• MR. JOUFLAS: Oh, may I make that statement? Whoever was now sworn in at <br />the last meeting please let me know so you can be sworn in to give testimony. <br />MR. BANTA: At the last meeting, the Staff gave an overview of the <br />mining, actually, a very detailed overview of the mining and reclamation <br />plan. The Staff completed that overview with a recommendation tc~ the Board <br />that the Board approve the permit application. There were some coutstanding <br />issues that were presented at that time, and we're going to discuss those <br />today when Steve gives his presentation. Since the last meeting„ we have met <br />with Uie Company to discuss those outstanding issues and have, as I understand <br />it, come to a resolution with regard to those, and again, Steve will talk <br />about that. We also met with the objectors last Thursday down in San Luis to <br />talk about some concerns that they may have had or would have wi#i the permit <br />application. There also has been some discussion, generally, particularly, <br />with the objectors with regard to the responsibility of the Minec Land <br />Reclamation Board and the Mined Land Reclamation Division.
