• • Banks and Gesso, LLC <br />The alluvial deposit to be mined varies in thickness from twenty-eight to forty-nine feet, <br />averaging approximately 47 feet in depth. It varies from fine sand and gravels in the <br />upper zones, to coarse sand and larger cobbles near bedrock. The gravel typically <br />found in this area has a reputation for being processed into high-quality concrete <br />aggregates, asphalt aggregates, and other construction materials. <br />The underlying strata on the property is a stiff, sandy clay which overlays a clayey, <br />weathered sandstone bedrock. <br />Primary and Secondary Commodities -Rule 6.4.4 (o) <br />The primary commodity to be extracted is alluvial sand and gravel. it will be processed <br />and sold as construction aggregate. Some sand and gravel may at some point be used <br />in on-site concrete hatching operations.
