-13- <br />~ • Isolated Finds <br />Two isolated artifacts were found during the inventory. <br />IF 7 <br />IF 7 is a wind polished and patinated brow/white mottled <br />chalcedony flake which was found on the top of the ridge on which <br />the northern road is located. It has evidence of unifacial micro- <br />flaking on two edges indicating use as a graver on the distal end <br />and as a scraper on the lateral edge. The vegetation at this locatee; <br />consisted o_ sage, bunch grasses, and snakewee~i. The soils are a silty <br />sand with largo numbers of pebbles of granite, chalcedony, and chert. <br />There is no potential for snbsurfacZ remains at this location and <br />this isolated find is not eligible to the National Register of 6isco:ic <br />• Places (NRunP). <br />IP 8 <br />IF 8 is a white chert interior flake which may have been utilized <br />as a cutting tool. It vas found in the east track of the nort::tr- <br />access road surveyed in a small saddle on a ridge slope. ' <br />Locality 1 <br />• Locality 1 consists of a scattered recent dump which includes <br />~ a pile of bricks, scattered bricks, a pile of milled lumber, sheet <br />metal, and 1/2 and 1 inch cable, a milled lumber box, and scattered <br />
