d) Wildlife
No significant amount of wildlife has been encountered during any of the visits
to the site. Since the taiiwater pit is there, some deer and waterfowl do use the
pond for watering. Other normal species appearing at the site could be
coyotes, rabbits, skunks, badgers, and pheasants. There are no known
threatened or endangered species.
EXHIBTI' C - Minine Plan
a) The mining is expected to begin as soon as possible after a pernut is obtained.
The operation will provide construction material for gas well sites and access
roads in the azea. Anticipated life of the pit is five years.
b) The mining plan is to begin removal of the material beginning at the north end
of the pit area and proceed southwazd. The affected area is expected to be 5.8
acres. Excavation will continue as the need for material continues and, as the
supply remains available. There is currently about 1-6 inches of material that
might be considered topsoil. Existing topsoil will be stripped and stockpiled
for later use in re-vegetation of side slopes. The topsoil stockpile will be
seeded with vegetation to prevent wind erosion.
The next 19-29 feet of material is suitable for use by the oil and gas industry
as they drill wells, make access roads, and prepare pads.
c) There would appeaz to be no waste rock or material at the site.
d) Mining is anticipated to a depth of 20 feet, but could go up to 30 feet if
adequate material is available.. No slopes will be leR greater than 3:1.
e) The pit will be accessed from the adjacent County Road BB. There is already
an existing trail off Road BB to the site. When the site is reclaimed, the trail
will be left, providing access to the farmground and to check gas well
equipment in the section. No new roadways will be built. There will be no
shop, plant, or other facilities located at the mine site. The equipment used to
mine the gravel will primarily be a front-end loader, large track hoe, dozer,
and trucks. Some stockpiling of material may be done at the site, but most of
the material will be utilized as it is mined. The anticipated stockpile area is
shown on the mining plan. No processing of material is anticipated at the site.
~ There are no existing disturbances to describe at the site.
g) The existing trail to the pit is approximately 10 feet wide. The trail will be
used for the life of the pit and then left for the landowner. No reclamation is
anticipated on the existing trail.
