During various times of the year, it is not possible to haul the
• non-coal waste to the Delta County Landfill in a prompt manner. This is
usually due to adverse road conditions at the landfill site. Bear Coal
Company has thus designated a non-coal waste storage area where the
waste will be stored until it can be removed to the Delta County
Landfi il. Bear Coal will haul the waste to the Landfill a minimum of
once every three (3) months, however, as stated above, hauling the waste
will depend on the road conditions to the Landfill. Bear Coal will
drain all tanks, equipment fluid resevoirs, and other containers prior
to placement in the storage area to avoid any environmental harm to the
storage area. No liquid non-coal waste will be stored in the non-coal
waste storage area.
The non-coal waste storage area will be maintained in such a manner as
to prevent to the extent possible the spreading of air born debris.
Bear Coal Company will burn waste wood and paper products on site during
• various times of the year. Prior to burning of these waste products,
Bear Coal will receive the proper permission from Gunnison County
Officials.
•
Revised May, 1987
4.11-1Ra
