In the event adverse field ar weather coalitions require salvaging of topsoil <br />from the access roads the topsoil will be wirclrowed to the side of the access <br />• road. ZY~e amount salvaged will be dictated by the location of the road. For <br />roads located Within the reclaimed area am~mx;mately 12 inC17E,S of topsoil will <br />be windrowed to the side of the access road. Far roads located within the <br />adjacent turlisttsbed area anpmY»tely 30 inches of topsoil will be wiah:'owed <br />to the side of the road. <br />The backhoe pits will rg~iirn excavating a hole anorr»ri mately 15 feet deep and <br />five feet wide and l0 feet long. Zhe topsoil will be placed adjacent to the test <br />pit. Likewise, the excavated material will be placed adjacent to the test pit <br />on top of the excavated topsoil. Upon completion of evaluating the test pit the <br />excavated material will be placed back into the pit aryl the topsoil will be <br />replaced. <br />'ihe auger barirgs will be approximately 80 feet in depth, however, this depth may <br />vary due to spoil depth in the mined out pits. ~e bedrock barirgs will be <br />approximately 80 feet in depth. Upon completion of the boring the hole will <br />either be bacJcfilled with the material form the hole ar the hole will be grouted <br />• from bottom to top. Int the event a boring is converted into a monitarirg well <br />the well will be constructed with machine slotted PVC ar steel, PVC ar steel <br />casing, gravel pack far the screened interval, bentonite ar grout seal on top of <br />the gravel pack, arcs a cap placed on top of the casirc3. A completion diagram <br />will be forwarded to the M[RD far any of the borings converted into monitaring <br />wells. 'ihe wells will be monitoring wells only and do not rc~,i e a well permit <br />from the Division of Water Resources. <br />It is anticipated that the barings will interoept both spoil water in the area <br />of the old pits, and possibly water in the Wadge overburden. Please refer to <br />both 4Wentymile Goal Company's and CYCC's permit for a description of the spoil <br />and Wadge Overburden aquifers. <br />Upon completion of the investigation the sites will be reclaimed by replacement <br />of topsoil.
