In the event adverse field ar weather coalitions require salvaging of topsoil
from the access roads the topsoil will be wirclrowed to the side of the access
• road. ZY~e amount salvaged will be dictated by the location of the road. For
roads located Within the reclaimed area am~mx;mately 12 inC17E,S of topsoil will
be windrowed to the side of the access road. Far roads located within the
adjacent turlisttsbed area anpmY»tely 30 inches of topsoil will be wiah:'owed
to the side of the road.
The backhoe pits will rg~iirn excavating a hole anorr»ri mately 15 feet deep and
five feet wide and l0 feet long. Zhe topsoil will be placed adjacent to the test
pit. Likewise, the excavated material will be placed adjacent to the test pit
on top of the excavated topsoil. Upon completion of evaluating the test pit the
excavated material will be placed back into the pit aryl the topsoil will be
replaced.
'ihe auger barirgs will be approximately 80 feet in depth, however, this depth may
vary due to spoil depth in the mined out pits. ~e bedrock barirgs will be
approximately 80 feet in depth. Upon completion of the boring the hole will
either be bacJcfilled with the material form the hole ar the hole will be grouted
• from bottom to top. Int the event a boring is converted into a monitarirg well
the well will be constructed with machine slotted PVC ar steel, PVC ar steel
casing, gravel pack far the screened interval, bentonite ar grout seal on top of
the gravel pack, arcs a cap placed on top of the casirc3. A completion diagram
will be forwarded to the M[RD far any of the borings converted into monitaring
wells. 'ihe wells will be monitoring wells only and do not rc~,i e a well permit
from the Division of Water Resources.
It is anticipated that the barings will interoept both spoil water in the area
of the old pits, and possibly water in the Wadge overburden. Please refer to
both 4Wentymile Goal Company's and CYCC's permit for a description of the spoil
and Wadge Overburden aquifers.
Upon completion of the investigation the sites will be reclaimed by replacement
of topsoil. Zhe sites will then be seeded with CYCC's approved pastureland seed
•
MR 92-75 780-38 (f) Revised 05/08/92
