Mined Land Reclamation Board
September 17, 1979
2
in the original application. The only change is in the mining plan
and the amount of land to be reclaimed due to the removal of many of
the interior dikes. Instead of having twelve plus ponds, we will combine
these into three larger ponds. Ponds I, II and III will be 116.47+_
acres, 67.55 + acres, and 61.27 + acres, respectively. Instead of
having fifteen dikes separating the smaller ponds, we will have three
dikes separating the larger ponds.
Pond I will be excavated in five phases. Phases one and two are
nearly complete at this time. Pond II and III will be excavated in
three phases each. Each of the phases will last from two to four years,
averaging about three years, except phase seven which will be excavated
in three to five years for an average of about four years. Phase
twelve (the southern part of the old phase nine) is not planned for
excavation at this time. Rather, it is expected to be used for scale
house, shops and other uses ancillary to the mining operation.
The reclamation procedures will be carried on as outlined in the
approved application without change at this time.
If there are questions about the change in ownership or the
revised mining plan, please contact Larry O'Brian at 423-7297.
Sincerely,
MOBILE PREM X CONC T , INC.
LEO:cm ack Hurlburt
