Site Description (coot)
Exhibit B
PERMANENT MAN-MADE STRUCTURES
A single private road is the only structure within 200 feet
of the affected lands and is it owned by the landowner we leased
the gravel from. There are no above or below ground communica-
tion or power lines, fences, bridges, wells, pipelines, water
storage impoundments, railroad tracks, cemeteries or communica-
tion antennas within 200 feet of the affected lands.
WATER RESOURCES
There are no water structures on the site. The closest
stream is the ephemeral creek in the bottom of Jarosa Canyon that
at its closest point is approximately 950 feet north of the site.
This creek is a small tributary of the Apishapa River that during
dry years has little water in it. The creek is approximately 120
feet lower than the lowest mining level. Mining will not reach
the ground water table and our investigations indicate the ground
water table is more than 120 feet below the surface of the site,
so no ground water will be exposed.
Review of well data on the surrounding areas indicate the
highest water table is associated with the creek that is more
than 120 feet below the bottom level of the mine. We do not
expect to encounter ground water on this site for that reason.
We will not affect the hydrologic balance of surface or subsur-
face water in the area.
MINING PLAN EXHIBIT C
6.3.3 - This is an open pit mine located approximately 23.3
miles west of Aguilar Colorado on County Road 21.1. From Aguilar
take CR 46, 8.23 miles west to Gulnar, then continue west 1.75
miles to the intersection of CR 46 and CR 42, stay left on CR 42
3.25 miles to intersection of CR 21.1 and CR 42; stay left again
for 6.02 miles to intersection of CR 21.7 and 21.1; and continue
west (left) on road 3.98 miles to mine entrance. Mining access
will be via an existing road is a owned by the landowner to
access his property from CR 21.1. It is currently 20 feet wide
and the location is shown on the map exhibits supplied with this
application. Periodic grading will be necessary to keep the road
in its present condition and to make it passable. It will remain
after mining is complete.
10
