(d) The size of area to be worked at any one time ~'~'
Initially, the perimeter of the site will be disturbed to install the slurry trench and d~^e atering
trench. Aggregate will mine the site in pods to minimize the amount of land disturbed at any
one time. A pod may range in size from 8 to 40 acres.
(e) An approximate timetable to describe the mining operation. The timetable is for the purpose of
establishing the relationship between mining and reclamation during the different phases oja
mining operation.
The site will be mined and reclaimed concurrently. Please see the Mining Plan Map (Exhibit C)
for the mining sequence. Please refer to Exhibit E -Reclamation Plan, section (e)(i) for timing
information.
(n Use Mining Plan Map'in conjunction with narrative to present:
(i) nature, depth and thickness of the deposit and thickness and type ojoverburden to be removed
The depth of overburden varies from 4' to 6'. The depth of the sand and gravel deposit varies ~` ~
from 39' to 58'.
(ii) nature ojthe stratum immediately beneath the material to be mined in sedimentary deposits
The azea underlying the bedrock in this azea is the Lazamie formation which is approximately
4,400 feet thick at the location of this proposed mining activity.
(g) Identify the primary and secondary commodities to be mined/exeracled and describe the intended
use
The primary commodity to be mined/extracted is sand and gravel. The intended use is for
construction materials.
(h) Name and describe the intended use of all expected incidental prod:tces to be mined/extracted by
the proposed operation
The secondary commodity that may be extracted is gold. The r~ate/Jof gol~d~ e~Jx,,tra~ction will not
likely exceed %z ounce per 10,000 tons. - ~ .n^y"v"c'-lI -,,,,,~~
AGGREGATE INDUSTRIES, INC. - MILLIKEN RESOURCE 112 PERMIT PAGE 14
