EXHIBIT C -Mining Plan
a) The mining is expected to begin as soon as possible after a permit is obtained.
The operation will provide material for concrete plants in the azea. It may
also provide some material for road construction or landscaping. Anticipated
life of the pit is four years.
b) The mining plan is to begin removal of the material beginning at the west end
of the pit area and proceed northeast in the creek. Excavation will continue as
the need for material continues and, as the supply remains available. There is
currently no topsoil in the creek bed itself. If the creek beds were disturbed,
the topsoil along the bank would be stripped and stockpiled for later use in re-
vegetation. That topsoil would be stockpiled outside of the actual mining
azea. If a topsoil stockpile exists, it will be seeded with vegetation to prevent
soil erosion.
c) There would appeaz to be no waste rock or material at the site.
d) Mining is anticipated to a depth of 4 to 5 feet. The mining plan is to begin at
the west end of the pit and proceed northeastward. No slopes will be left
greater than 3:1.
e) The pit will be accessed from Co. Rd. 16 to the south. A small trail mad will
access the site. It is anticipated that the trail road will be left in place at the
end of the operation for use by the landowner. There will be no shop, plant,
or other facilities located at the mine site. The equipment used to mine the
gravel will be afront-end loader, large track hoe, dozer, and trucks. Some
stockpiling of material may be done at the site, but most of the material will
be utilized as it is mined. Any stockpiling that does occur will be placed in
line with the drainage flow line that runs through the area and along the north
edge of the pit. The anticipated stockpile azea is shown on the mining plan.
No processing of material is anticipated at the site.
f} There are no existing disturbances to describe at the site.
g) The trail to the pit will be about 600' in length and 10 feet wide. The trail will
be used for the life of the pit and then left for the landowner. It will be re-
seeded at the completion of the operation
h) No water is anticipated in conjunction with the operation. There could be
instances when heavy rainfall makes the site too muddy to continue. At those
times, mining will simply cease until the site becomes dry enough to mine
again.
i) Mining will not go into the groundwater at the site.
