For each phase, including Phase 1, overburden and topsoil will be stockpiled in
long, windrow formations along the western mining boundazy in an area to be
undisturbed by mining activity to allow ease of reclamation.
2. Sandstone.
3. No use of explosives is proposed.
4. Overburden will be replaced to a depth of 2-3 feet. Topsoil will be replaced at a
depth of <1 inch to 1 inch.
5. As the applicant does not intend to dischazge water, a NPDES permit from the
WQCD is not necessary.
6. Nonirrigated rangeland in this azea is rated at about 12-15 acres per animal unit
according to the NRCS-SCS.
Maximum active highwall slope during mining activity will be O.SH:1 V.
Highwall reduction will follow the recommendations ofthe DMG and utilize cut
and fill. In addition, with overburden stockpiled above and just back from the
fmal edge of mining, this material will be pushed down from above for fill as
well. Overburden and topsoil replacement depths will be consistent will item 4
above.
8. As the applicant does not intend to dischazge stormwater, a stormwater discharge
permit from the WQCD is not required. However, such a permit will be sought in
case accidental stormwater discharge occurs during mining activities.
d.b.a.
