David Goss <br />Route 2 <br />Calhan, Colorado 80808 <br />Re: David Goss' "Goss' Sand and Gravel" <br />File No.: M-85-140, El Paso County <br />Oear Mr. Goss: <br />The application for a Mining and Reclamation Permit for the above-captioned <br />operation was received by the Division and deemed complete on October 7, 1985. <br />Prior to the November 25, 1985 Board consideration of the application, proof <br />of publication and proof that a copy of the publication was either mailed or <br />personall served to: <br />1. all owners of record of surface rights to the affected land; and, <br />2. all owners of record of surface rights to the immediately adjacent <br />lands <br />must be submitted (see Mineral Rules and Regulations Number 3.2). The <br />following clarifications are needed for the application to be considered <br />"adequate": <br />Item 9 - Substance to be Mined <br />1. Is this a sand or sand and gravel mining operation? <br />Item 12 - Acreaoe <br />1. Please specify 9.0 or 9.9 as the acreage of affected land being <br />permitted. The application form specifies 9.0 acres, but the Wildlife <br />Questionaire states the affected acreage as 9.9 acres. <br />Exhibit B - Mining Plan <br />1. A) Topsoil should be salvaged, and segregated from all other <br />materials in a stockpile graded no steeper than 3N:1V and seeded with a <br />perennial cover crop for conservation purposes.
