Refer to the <br /> attached form CO-CONS-6 for the recommend- <br /> ed species and seeding rates. <br /> Mulching: Grass hay will be used as a <br /> mulch on the entire treated area. Blow <br /> the mulch on at a rate of 4,000 pounds per <br /> acre and then crimp it approximately <br /> 4-inches into the soil using a mulch <br /> crimper or suitable Farm disc set straight <br /> Timin The above operations should be <br /> timed so as to allow for seeding of the <br /> grasses and legumes before June 15th. <br /> Management: All livestock and vehicle <br /> use will be excluded on the treated area <br /> until it is fully stabolized (minimum of <br /> one complete growing season after planting <br /> grasses). Provisions to control weed <br /> growth will be made. Mechanical control <br /> methods such as mowing weeds before seeds <br /> are set will be considered. <br /> IV. These loafing islands will be <br /> a minimum of 20-feet in diameter and at <br /> least 30-feet from the shoreline.
