Carder, Inc.
Regular 112 Operations Permit Application
Windy Ridge Pit/Windy Ridge LLC
EXHIBIT D -MINING PLAN
(a)_Mining will commence as soon as all the necessary_permits_and_approvals
are obtained. Mining will cease as soon as material is depleted or for the
life of the lease.
(b)The topsoil media will be salvaged to a depth of at least 3 to 4 inches or
more if the material is available. However, the depth of topsoil typical for
the area is approximately 3 to 4 inches. We will salvage sufficient growth
medium in order to establish vegetation. The topsoil will be stockpiled in
an orderly berm suitable for seeding in the event that the topsoil is to
remain in storage beyond one growing season. The location of topsoil
stockpiles is shown on the mining plan map.
(c) In the area there is a thin veneer of approximately 3 to 4 inches of topsoil
overlying natural sands and clays underlain by sandstone or claystone
bedrock at depth. The depth to bedrock range in the area from near
surface to approximately 12 feet below existing grade.
(d)The thickness of the deposit to be mined is from approximately 2 to 12 feet
in depth, which is the depth of the deposit.
(e) Access to the pit will be accomplished by an existing county road and an
existing pasture road. The equipment that will be located on the site will
be self-propelled scrapers, dozers, wheeled front end loaders along with the
processing equipment such as screens, crushers, and conveyor systems used
to process the material.
(f) The pit dimensions will be approximately 5280' X 2640' for a total acreage
of 320 acres total. The area of disturbance at one time will be a maximum
of 20 acres total. We will not exceed 20 acres of disturbed area and before
mining moves we will reclaim approximately 10 acres of area. No benches
or exterior roads will be constructed.
