l... <br />~._., .~ J ~_. <br />ANk ;~ U iyr9 <br />:L;, ., <br />., ,{ RE~VutCBS <br />Elam Construction, Inc., 1225 South Seventh Street, <br />Grand Junction, Colorado, hereby submits application to the <br />Mined Land Reclamation Board, for a Special Ten-Day Permit <br />on the property located as follows: <br />T6S, R93W, Parts of SZ Sec, 11, NZ Sec, 14 <br />North of the Colorado River, (See Exhibits <br />AandG,) <br />Acquired by us through lease (Exhibit G), this property <br />is owned by Glen and Dorothy I, Chambers, 28584 Highway 6 <br />and 24, Rifle, Colorado 81650, and is contained within a <br />parcel listed on the Garfield County Assessors Roll as <br />number 2177-113-00-083, <br />• Through this permit we intend to extract natural river <br />rock and crush the rock into usable construction aggregate. <br />A portion of the material is then to be used in the on-site <br />manufacturing of asphaltic cement concrete. Assuming success <br />in our permit applications, operation will start as soon as <br />possible, <br />Access to the property will be provided by the established <br />highway turnoff and railroad crossing, The dirt road down <br />to the operations area will be improved and maintained as <br />necessary to avoid dusty conditions. Since the highway access <br />is located as to allow for long range observation to and from <br /> highway traffic, we dbn' t consider the access to cause a <br />• safety hazard.
