In response to your Question Number 4 regarding the potential for
excavating in the ground water, please be advised that there will be no
excavation that would be down in the Southeast corner of Exhibit C, Phase 4.
This area, if disturbed, would be primarily to provide ftll material. We would have
no excavations near Kiowa Creek nor within, probably ten (10) feet of the aquifer.
Be further advised that we understand that in the event that the ground water
would be exposed that we would need to notify the Division within twenty four
(24) hours of exposure.
In response to 6.4.7 Exhibit G water information and your Question No. 5,
we would characterize Kiowa Creek as ephemeral in that the Creek as shown on
Exhibit C flows only at such times as high water conditions such as floods
upstream create water at the Creek locations shown. Additionally there are
flows in Kiowa Creek from approximately May through June, generally from that
time on any water in the Creek is ground water.
In response to No. 6 be advised that under no circumstance will this
proposed pit have any effect upon the ground water in the Kiowa, Bijou or Lost
Creek Basins. We specifically have planned this project with that in mind. The
major part of this project is actually taking place twenty {20) to twenty five (25)
feet, at least, above the groundwater level in Kiowa Creek.
If you require any additional information, please feel free to contact either
myself or Robert Fleming at Adco Consulting.
Respectfully submi
D.A. Lincoln
