EXHIBIT D 6.3.4 -Reclamation Plan
(a) If overburden is removed to reach the gravel deposit, up to 1 foot will be removed,
segregated from the topsoil and salvages. The size of the area to be worked at
during any one time is less than Yz an acre.
(b) The maximum gradient of reclaimed slopes will be 3:1.
(c) Measures to be taken to revegetate the site include smoothing the pit area to a 3:1
slope or flatter, and replacing the topsoil. Straw mulch will be spread over the site at
the rate of one tone per acre to prevent erosion after grass seeding. Please see the
Soil Conservation District suggestions and evaluation. The operator will follow
guidelines in establishing that the area be returned to pastureland use. Guidelines
for reclamation will be followed according to the recommendation of the SCD office.
(d) There are no ponds, streams or buildings which are existing or which will exist after
reclamation. The current haul road will be reclaimed according to the
recommendation of the SCD office.
(e) There won't be any waste rock dumps, underground mine openings, ditches,
sediment control facilities, buildings or other features not previously addressed in the
Reclamation Plan narrative.
(f) The existing mining disturbance will not affect the reclamation plan. The County will
reclaim the disturbed area within the mining permit after mining. If topsoil is not
sufficient for reclamation of the pre-permitted disturbance, planting according to the
Soil Conservation District will occur to provide a good medium to revert this to
rangeland use upon completion of mining.
~~
~"~~°
\~ `\ ~ zR` i~o°'
' e~~ e~`1
of R Sa`
p'~~~e~ ~~09 a~a
M
