Skbr+;~~}"a~ <br />Temporary Substitute Water Supply Plans <br />ASI RCC, Inc. has a contract. with The State of Colorado, Department <br />of Transportation, to provide washed sand for the purpose of <br />highway sanding during the winter months. Site of the operation is <br />the existing .gravel operation plant southwest of Leadville. <br />Duration of the operation is approximately three (3) months, August <br />through October, 1992. <br />Water for the operation is provided by an agreement with the City <br />of Colorado Springs to purchase ninety (90) acre feet from strorage <br />in Turquoise Reservoir. Original Source of the water is the <br />Homestake Collection System on the western slope. (please see the <br />• attached Purchase Agreement) <br />Water will be released from Turquoise Reservoir into Lake Fork <br />Creek. Substitute water will be taken from Halfmoon Creek via the <br />Templeton Ditch into a storage pond. The maximum flow rate will be <br />3 c.f.s.. Walt Clothworthy, Lake County Water Commisioner has <br />agreed to the plan along with ditch owner Steve Lani. <br />After use, water will flow into a settling pond. Overflow will be <br />ditched to flow into an existing agriultural irrigation ditch for <br />use on the Haden Ranch. <br /> <br />R <br />
